survival of the fittest, kotel, bulgaria

last week I took part in a youth exchange in kotel, bulgaria. kotel is a small town in the mountains with a well-known music school, where we lived. we got there on saturday, when the snow storm wasn't as bad as earlier and so we could travel to kotel.

during the week we took part in three different workshops: psychology, theatre and music. I liked the psychology workshop very much, the others not so...

there were participants from seven countries: austria, bulgaria, denmark, finland, greece, lithuania and romania. for me they were too many. some of them were very young, too, which made the whole group to fall apart. in addition, I felt very old. I don't think I'll be taking part in other youth exchanges anymore, I'll stay with training courses and seminars.

it was great to see finns, too. and to speak finnish. and to eat finnish food at the intercultural dinner.

now it's very hard for me to return to the everyday life. my mind hasn't recovered from bulgaria yet and nevertheless I'm supposed to study for the exams and go to lectures. I'm going to be so happy when january is over! I need holidays!

new year's eve

this is what I needed for a great new year's eve:

things that bring luck

sparkling wine and fireworks

tin and great company

and finally breakfast to bed
