it was surprinsingly difficult to decide what kind of alcohol to take with me. the german guys fell in love with minttu, I'm well known for bringing vanilla vodka to intercultural dinners, finlandia was ordered and salmiakki - well, that's very finnish. I decided to take them all.
other things I miss when I'm not in finland have all something to do with being sick. first of all I can't understand why there are no big tissue handkerchiefs elsewhere. don't they even try to avoid excess packaging? I also prefer ibuprofen to paracetamol and I like finrexin (that actually tastes good) when I'm getting sick. I don't know how much these things are going to help me when I'm sick. the truth is that I'd rather be nowhere else but in my mum's tender care when feeling sick. wonder if it'll ever change..?
