I've maybe possibly found a subject I could imagine studying in vienna. in addition to german, of course. surprisingly (or so not) it's once again not a real subject but an interdisclipinary study program (just like my other minors so far), cultural studies. the study program is organised by three viennese universities and thus there are lots of courses offered. most of them sound really interesting!
I've also checked what kind of german courses the university offered this year and I must say, I'm a bit disappointed. most of the courses are literature and not linguistics and the majority of interesting linguistics courses are seminars (6 etcs) or at least proseminars (4 etcs). for all other courses you only get 3 etcs. I don't want to sound lazy, but at the moment I can't see why I'd choose proseminars over lectures if the reward is only 1 etcs, but the loss is hours of work and a demanded attendance. surely, I'll choose at least one proseminar or seminar, just out of interest and hope for an easier work load for next year in vaasa when I have to write both my bachelor's and my seminar works.
anyway, I still haven't quite understood the benefits of my stay in vienna for my studies in finland. actually, at the moment it seems like I'd have to continue after my return almost from where I finished this spring. the only thing I gain are credits (I certainly hope I'll get some). is this really all that erasmus has to offer? in the bologna process is this really as far as we got? it is almost made useless to study during the exchange. I was looking forward to a challenging but rewarding year in austria (especially as I study german!), but I may have to change my way of thinking and join the thousands exchange students planning to have a great 5-month-party and satisfy with getting nothing but experiences. not a bad plan either, I guess.

Why not having them both , parting and challeanging.!
Of course you will face a challenage to see how is your work quality comparing to other people ( not finish). cz it is easier to work in enviroment which is known for you , type of exams , type of presentations , evaluation...
that's my plan! I know it'll be a hard year anyway, it's not the first time I study in a different country, in a different language and in a different environment.
In der Wohnung kannst du aber nicht 5 Monate Party feiern;-)
Zumindest nicht ohne mich!
nein, ich werde 10 monate feiern! ;-)
